The collection consists of approximately 2 linear feet of materials documenting Specialist 4 Lee Neville Swanson's U.S. Army service with the 1st Cavalry Division in An Khe. The materials include service records, yearbooks, correspondence, photographs, and slides. The materials are dated predominately 1965-1968.
Biographical / Historical
Specialist 4 Lee Neville Swanson was born in 1944 in Cleveland, OH. He was drafted into the U.S. Army in 1966. He served with the 1st Cavalry Division in An Khe. He was honorably discharged in 1971. After his military service, he worked as a locomotive engineer in Cleveland. He died December 3, 2019 at the Kansas Veterans Home in Winfield, KS.
