Biographical / Historical
Lieutenant Colonel Angelica "Angel" Pilato was born in Rochester, NY. She was the first female Air Force officer to manage an Officer's Club and the first to manage one on a fighter pilot base in a war zone. She managed the club at Udorn Royal Thai Air Force Base, nicknamed Angel's Truck Stop. She served in the USAF for 5.5 years with assignments in the United States, Europe, and Southeast Asia. When she returned to civilian life, she transitioned to the Air Force Reserve as a training specialist and then retired from active duty. After her military service, she earned a doctorate degree on an EPDA Fellowship from Oregon State University and held management positions at a Fortune 500 company, a top-10 Northwest University, and a non-profit organization.
