Scope and Contents
CD-ROM contains photographs of Jeffrey Bass's painting 'Earthquake's Final Flight' and an internet article from the Pensacola News Journal describes the story behind Bass's painting. The painting, which is on display at the CIA Museum in McLean, Virginia, depicts the C-119 Flying Boxcar flown by Civil Air Transport (CAT) pilots Wallace Buford and James 'Earthquake McGoon' McGovern as it was shot down by the Viet Minh. Buford and Wallace were killed as a result while they were attempting to resupply the French forces who were under siege at Dien Bien Phu.
