Biographical / Historical
Colonel Harvey C. Barnum, Jr. was the fourth Marine to be awarded the Medal of Honor for valor in Vietnam. He received the medal for his 'conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity at the risk of his life above and beyond the call of duty' during action at Ky Phu in Quang Tin Province, South Vietnam on December 18, 1965.
