Scope and Contents
The collection contains 'Two-One! You're on Fire!' a short story written by Johnny Hutcherson describing an incident in which Hutcherson's helicopter was shot down in Vietnam in September 1968. Hutcherson and his crew were rescued by D Troop.
Biographical / Historical
Hutcherson served in D Troop, 3rd Squadron of the 5th Cavalry, as a door gunner on a Huey helicopter. After leaving the Army in December 1969, Hutcherson went on to work for Bell Helicopter in Amarillo, TX. He now lives with his wife of 36 years, Theresa, in Floresville, Texas.
