Scope and Contents

This collection contains reports on U.S. prisoners of war by Lieutenant Colonel John M. Luke, USAFR, 1975; notebook with notes and manuals on debriefing procedures, Operation Homecoming, circa 1973; newspaper clippings; official documents, notes, and resources related to Pinkerton's military service in Operation Homecoming; information on the National League of Families; Survey of Returned Prisoners of War, 1974; Correspondence with Ray Horinek, the USAF Major that Pinkerton debriefed; and a manuscript copy of the screenplay, 'The Pied Piper of Vietnam,' by Richard La Doyt Pinkerton and Peter Maris, 2001.

Biographical / Historical

While teaching at the University of Wisconson-Madison, Richard Pinkerton served in the USAF Reserves and was called to active duty during Operation Homecoming to debrief returning POWs.
