Biographical / Historical
Mary Emeny served in the Voluntary International Service Assignments (VISA) program. This program was under the direction of the American Friends Service Committee (AFSC), which was a service organization started by the Quakers (Society of Friends) after World War I. Mary Emeny served in both Tanzania (1964-1966) and Viet Nam (1967-1968).
