Scope and Contents

Five undated photographs document life in the South Vietnamese Navy. The photographs were taken from the book, Vietnam In Flames, published the General Staff of the Army of the Republic of Vietnam. Included in the collection are 12 additional undated original and photocopied photographs of the South Vietnamese Navy; A document listing the types of ship in the South Vietnamese Navy from 1975-1976. Other photographs depicting life in the South Vietnamese Navy; photocopied articles, mission orders, and other photographs. A photocopied article from Vietnam Magazine (October 2000): On Patrol with the South. The article documents the tour of duty of Navy Captain John Foster, who served as an advisor to the South Vietnamese Navy Junk Force in 1965 - 1966.
