Scope and Contents
Four linear feet of newspaper articles, reports, studies, bibliographies, research documents and various primary sources document Joel Halpern's interest in post-war Southeast Asia, particularly in Laos. Some materials were authored by Halpern, some not, though the bulk of both sets of materials center on issues of refugees and cultural and social issues in Southeast Asia. A guide to the John M. Echols Collection at Cornell University is also included. Documents range in date from the war era up through the 1990s.
