Captured Communist ordnance, including mines, 122mm rocket warheads and propellant cartridges, .50-cal ammunition, grenades, 82mm mortar rounds, and rocket-propelled grenades. The 5th Division routinely captured tons of this stuff, but it kept pouring in from the North, which was amply supplied by China and the Soviet Bloc.

The civilian beach at Vung Tau, RVN in July 1968. A US R&R center was located in Vung Tau, and it was a welcome destination for thousands of US servicemen in need of a break. I made my first trip here nine months into my tour. Vung Tau was a peaceful, scenic town about 45 miles south of Saigon on the South China sea.
