6 May 1968 - Photo by SP4 Bryan Grigsby (DASPO) - Moments after being wounded by enemy fire SFC Howard C. Breedlove (DASPO) receives medical attention from 2Lt. Richard M. Griffith (DASPO). This scene was received on Plantation Rd in Gia Dinh, a suburb of Saigon. This action was part of what became known as the Post-Tet Offensive or the May Offensive of 1968. Several days later Lt. Griffith was also wounded.

This young soldier & a colleague had been discovered hiding under a school building. This action was part of what became known as the Post-Tet Offensive or the May Offensive of 1968.

Specialist distinguished himself by heroic action during the Tet Offensive in Vietnam when he dashed across some seventy-five meters of open ground to pull a wounded companion photographer to comparative safety, administered first aid and then returning to the battle area to again record the fighting.
