Dr. Tim Stuntz, chief neurolosurgeon. Deck of Boys Camp at 91st Evacuation Hospital, Chu Lai, Vietnam. Nickname: Scrouge. Tim had contacts throughout Vietnam and could get virtually anything outside the usual supply lines. If you wanted a case of steaks for a barbeque he could get it, just don't any questions. If you wanted Mai Tai Mix for a party just ask Tim. He also had is own orphan jeep, not on the registered equipment for the hospital. When the hospital was inspected the jeep had to disappear.

James B. [Jim] Evans' room in BOQ, known as Boys Camp, Chu Lai, Vietnam. Jim Evans was a general medical officer at 91st Evacuation Hospital from June to October 1970. My [Jim's] room had walls on two sides and long narrow horizontal window at the head of the bed. There was no wall at the foot of the bed just an open hallway extending the length of the BOQ. The previous occupant of the room, Dr. Goshgarian, left an alarm clock and a comb in the desk. The desk had one drawer on the right and open spaces on the left.

Boys Camp flag is on left. The flag was lowered as a sign of respect when a physician or dentist left 91st Evacuation Hospital. Each of us autographed the flag when we left. Date: Late October 1970, just before I returned to the United States. The day was overcast and rainy secondary to an off-shore typhoon.
