General Anthony is a highly decorated US Marine General Offficer with over 40 years of service to his country. He discusses here the need to preserve the history of the Vietnam War and to derive from that history lessons we either learned or should have learned from the experience. He recollects his first arrival in Vietnam to assume duties as a Marine Advisor to the South Vietnamese Marines. He further discusses Nixon, Kissinger, and opening the door to China, in the larger context of the Cold War and, finally, our ongoing efforts in Afghanistan, Iraq, and the Middle East and the relevance of Counter-Insurgency.

Jan K. Herman was the chief medical historian of the US Navy from 1979 to 2012, the curator of the Old Naval Observatory, and editor-in-chief of Navy Medicine for 30 years. In his documentary and its companion book, The Lucky Few, Herman tells the 'relatively unknown heroic tale' of one small US Navy destroyer escort's participation in the closing days of the Vietnam War. Note: Captain Paul Jacobs (USN, retired), commanding officer of the USS Kirk during this period, was orginally scheduled to appear with Mr. Herman but was forced to cancel due to health reasons.

[Number of Pages: 1]In this interview Col. Thomas L. Shera (USAF, retired) discusses his multiple tours in Southeast Asia. Shera served as a PSYWAR pilot with the 5th and 9th Air Commando Squadrons in 1967. He then served as a forward air controller with the 22nd Tactical Air Support Squadron in 1968, before volunteering for the Raven forward air controllers in Laos, 1968-1969. Shera returned to Southeast Asia in 1970, serving as an air operations staff officer in Bangkok, Thailand.
