Bien Hoa AB, Vietnam; The planes have been backed up to the tanks for refill. There are only four refill positions so when they are filled the planes are taxied to their parking spots and four more are backed in until all are set to go again. We can refill tanks, refuel with gas and be in the air in less than 30 minutes if necessary.

This in turn leads to public criticism and environmental concerns regarding defoliation program in general. Dresser also talks about target-selection process, maintaining unit morale, the 'Master Magnet Ass' award and 'short-timer's syndrome.'

During this period, the unit developed their tactics and procedures for the application of herbicides for crop destruction and to deprive the enemy of natural concealment.
