During his service, Mr. Blevins was stationed overseas in the China-Burma-India Theater toward the end of World War 2. After the Vietnam War, Mr. Blevins and his wife served as a host family for Vietnamese refugees.

He served seven months in Vietnam before he was wounded in action. He was Medevac'ed out to Chu Lai and then on to Japan. He was in the hospital for over two months.

[Number of Pages: 1]Robert Reynolds served in the Army from 1969-1971. He served in the First Infantry Division at Fort Reilly as a platoon payment distribution officer. He was under orders to be sent to Vietnam in late 1970, however these orders were changed and he was reassigned a month before he was due to leave as his twin brother was sent instead. Richard Reynolds served in the Army from 1970-1972. A commissioned second lieutenant through ROTC, he served as the platoon leader of a MIPP (Multiple Item Processing Point) team in Vietnam in 1971. He spent most of traveling up and down I CORPS standing down US units.

He joined the Navy ROTC while he was attending college at the University of Texas in Austin where he earned a degree in psychology. He decided to join ROTC because he knew he would eventually get drafted, and by joining ROTC, he became an officer in his choice of the U.S. Navy. He served as the Top Secret Control Officer, Communication Officer, Treasurer, and Jr. Officer of the deck on the U.S.S. Reeves from November 1970 to October 1972. His ship helped directed and guarded aircraft carriers.
