This collection consists of 24 recorded letters from Dale Fillmore to his family during his two tours in Vietnam, 1967-1968 (Co. B, 229th Battalion (Assault Helicopter)) and 1970-1971 (242nd Aviation Company). The collection also contains approximately 1.5 linear feet of slides and letters home donated by Dale Fillmore. The letters were written during Fillmore's army basic training at Fort Polk, Primary Helicopter School at Fort Wolters, Advanced Helicopter School at Fort Rucker, and his two tours in Vietnam (1967-1968 and 1970-1971). The materials are dated 1966-1971.

The collection consists of over one linear foot of slides, photographs, newspapers, and insignia booklets documenting George Kelling's service in Vietnam as executive officer with Company C, 15th Medical Battalion, 1965-1966. Included in the collection are photographs that Kelling received from USAF Captain Bob MacNaughton while he was employed by the Department of the Air Force as a civilian historian and underground anti-war newspapers from Fort Bragg. Also included are greeting cards; a Thanksgiving Day menu; two documents given to Kelling by MacNaughton, who went to Hanoi as part of a team sent to arrange a POW transfer in 1973 (a flight plan form and a currency exchange form); and a narrative written by Kelling relating his experiences as XO of C Company 15th Medical Battalion supporting the 3rd Brigade 1st Cavalry Division in the Battle of Ia Drang - which was used by Joe Galloway for his book We Were Soldiers Once and Young. Also included is a book and an anti-war flyer. The materials are dated 1965, 1973, ca. 1986, 1997, or are otherwise undated.

The collection consists of approximately one and a half linear feet of maps, aerial photographs, informational material about the country, and a Viet Cong banner donated to the archive by Leedom Lefferts who served in Vietnam (Bein Hoa) in the USAF from 1964-1965 as well as the summer of 1968 (Saigon). The majority of maps are 1:25,000 and are of the L8020 series. As well as topographic maps of Laos and Southeast Asia road maps accumulated by H. Leedom Lefferts, Jr. The Lao topographic maps were purchased from the Lao Geographic Service in the former USAID Vientiane compound in 1990-1991. They were produced by the USSR mapping service as a gift to the Lao Government. The Southeast Asia road maps were prepared by the U.S. Army Map Service and were obtained by Lefferts while he was serving as a USAF officer.
