Lacognata, a doctoral graduate of MSU living in Gotham, ME, writes to MSU President Hannah in protest of an April 17 New York Times article which reported that the university worked with the CIA from 1959 to 1962. Ã Lacognata refers to the alleged connection as "intellectual prostitution", and asks that his name be removed from the MSU alumni mailing list. Ã Hannah, in an April 25 letter of reply, informs Lacognata that his name has been removed from the list, but includes a copy of his April 22 official statement regarding the MSU project in Vietnam, on the off-chance that Lacognata should be interested in reading it.
