This is a transcript of an interview by Oriana Fallaci of Nguyen Van Thieu. This interview took place in the morning of Saturday, December 30, 1972 at the presidential palace in Saigon. The interview was printed over a month later in The New Republic on January 10, 1973. The interview focuses on relations between the United States and the Republic of Vietnam, as well as the ongoing diplomatic initiatives between the Republic of Vietnam and communist political organizations.

MSU Professor of Economics Milton Taylor writes to President Hannah about the deteriorating situation in Vietnam, despite sizable American aid. Taylor includes two articles with the memo: one he co-authored with Adrian Jaffe, another member of the MSU faculty, entitled "A Crumbling Bastion: Flattery and Lies Won't Save Vietnam"; the other by Jerry Rose, correspondent with the Time-Life bureau in Saigon, entitled "The Fading Strength of Vietnam". Taylor concludes the memo by asking President Hannah if the Michigan State University Group (MSUG) has been honest with itself, with him, and with the American people.

Chief of the Police Administration Division of MSUG Ralph Turner corresponds with Director Arthur Brandstatter of the MSU School of Police Administration and Public Safety from early August to September, 1960. They discuss the possibility of Turner being replaced, the hiring and progress of new personnel, new training mobile training programs, misplaced equipment, report copies from the recent ICA audit, and transferal of the communications division.
